Emergency Duty Worker job in Canada. Looking for a position as an Emergency Duty Worker job in Canada? THE GOVERNMENT OF SASKATCHEWAN offers CAD 20-30 hourly for the Emergency Duty Worker position. Yorkton and Area require an Emergency Duty Worker for the Child and Family Services Unit in the Ministry of Social Services. After regular business hours, it will be your job to respond to family emergencies. You will be responsible for conducting investigations into reports of child abuse or neglect, determining the level of danger involved, participating in a regular schedule of after-hours emergency services, and developing strategies for the involvement and safety of families in crisis. The applicant will be responsible for transporting families in need and giving out immediate cash relief. You will be expected to work irregular hours, lift and carry infants, and travel.

Job responsibilities and duties:

As a worker, you will have to do and be responsible for the following:

  • Create plant inspection plans and carry them out by OSHA, DOH, DEC, JCAHO (equivalent to ISO), and EPA standards.
  • Maintain positive relationships with patients by being consistent and modeling healthy boundaries, and promptly identifying danger indicators. To be used at account review meetings, prepare quarterly claim loss reports. PowerPoint presentation writing and editing.
