Responsibilities Claim Service Consultant job :

• Process insurance claims: As a Claims Service Consultant, you’ll be responsible for processing insurance claims submitted by clients.
• Keep clients informed about the status of their claims: You’ll need to communicate regularly with clients to update them on the progress of their claims and answer any questions or concerns they may have.
• Provide guidance and support throughout the claims process: Clients who are filing insurance claims are often dealing with stressful and difficult situations. You’ll need to provide guidance and support to clients throughout the claims process and ensure that they have the information they need to make informed decisions.
• Resolve issues that arise during the claims process: Sometimes, issues or complications may arise during the claims process.
• Work closely with other team members: You’ll be part of a team of Claims Service Consultants at
• Santam and you’ll need to work closely with other team members to ensure that clients receive a seamless claims experience.
• Responsible for handling all communications with the client/broker regarding the claim.
• Judgment calls on merit, quantity, item id, and acquisition.
• Settlement discussions and negotiations with the insured/broker.
• Serves as the client’s or broker’s single point of contact during the whole transaction.
• Guarantees prompt and effective processing of the claim.
• Manages all aspects of the claims process effectively to ensure prompt payments and minimal losses.
• Finds, researches, and fixes problems with claims being processed in accordance with Santam’s rules and processes, such as SLAs and SOPs.
• Makes sure the claim is processed quickly and accurately and informs the policyholder or intermediary of the best way to address any disagreements that may arise.
• Explain everything to the customer right away, and be available to answer any questions as they arise during the claim.

Requirements:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: To succeed as a Claims Service Consultant, you’ll need to be able to communicate effectively with clients, team members, and other stakeholders.

Strong attention to detail: You’ll need to be able to process claims accurately and efficiently, paying close attention to detail.

Ability to work well under pressure: The insurance industry can be fast-paced and demanding. You’ll need to be able to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks at once.

• Class 12 (Matric)
• It is suggested that you get certified for insurance.
• Three years of expertise in the temporary claims field, with an emphasis on commercial and individual experience in accidental loss/damage claims for residential property.
• Expertise in handling lightning claims for residential properties
• Personal all-risk insurance claim handling expertise
• Claims expertise for both building rupture and overflow situations
• Prior experience with geyser insurance claims
• Expertise in evaluating claims for both personal and commercial policies
• Possessing an in-depth knowledge of building evaluations would be really helpful.
